Fundraising University Kicks Off Training for November Rookie Class
Fundraising University is excited to welcome our newest teammates — the November Rookie Class, who officially began training today at FundU headquarters.
This outstanding group of new representatives brings diverse experience across coaching, athletics, business, and community leadership. Each rookie shares one purpose: helping student-athletes and coaches raise more money, in less time, with the least amount of interference.
Meet the New Class

A former Division I baseball player at the University of Kentucky, Alex’s experience in development and nonprofit fundraising gives him the perfect foundation for helping schools and teams succeed.
🏀 Barton Hockenberger – Michigan
After 15 years leading community engagement and fundraising events for Buffalo Wild Wings, Bart joins FundU ready to expand our footprint in Southeast Michigan and support schools across his region.
🎤 Dayton Banas – Arizona / Illinois
From interviewing Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Butler at ESPN Milwaukee to managing national promotions in the radio industry, Dayton’s career has revolved around sports, storytelling, and leadership. His competitive drive and creative energy make him an asset to every coach he partners with.

Born and raised in Trumansburg, NY, Chris joins FundU under Connor Hadcock’s leadership, serving programs across Upstate New York. A lifelong coach and small business owner, Chris believes fundraising goes beyond dollars — it’s about building belief, ownership, and lasting impact.
