Frequently Asked Questions
General High School Fundraising
We follow a proven and simple fundraising process to make your life easy and maximize your profits.
- You’ll be paired with a Fundraising University coach who will hold a meeting with your team’s leaders to discuss your fundraising goals and help decide on the best fundraiser for your team.
- Your Fundraising University Coach will explain your fundraiser to your players, motivate them to reach their goals, deliver any products you order on time, and dish out prizes to your players who did the legwork.
- The whole team celebrates together once you reach your goal!
We run fundraisers for high school sports, band, orchestra, choir, clubs, dance teams, and any other group activities that have between 10-1,000 students!
Our coaches are experienced with small team fundraisers (like volleyball fundraisers or club fundraisers) and very large fundraisers (like football fundraisers, dance team fundraisers, or fundraisers for an entire school). No matter what size team, you can still reach your goals.
We want your life to be as easy as possible. You will meet with our Fundraising University Coach once before the fundraising kickoff. Then, you get to sit back and watch us do the heavy lifting.
Most of our fundraisers are designed to take 7-10 days. Our Hour-A-Thons can be completed in a matter of a few hours!
Best Processes and Ideas for High School Fundraisers
We have a variety of fundraisers including consumable sales (popcorn, cookie dough, team tumblers, and seasonal items). We run custom discount card fundraisers tailored to your local area. We offer game ticket fundraisers. And, we host product-free fundraisers called “Hour-A-Thons” that allow your students to contact friends and family via text message and phone call for contributions.
What might work best for a baseball fundraiser may be different than what works for a dance team fundraiser. That’s where our expertise can help guide you!
We take the size of your team, season, and goals into account. You get to make the final call, but we’ll use our experience to guide you in the most profitable direction.
Our motto is “Dream Big.” We start by understanding how much money your team needs to raise, and then we work backward to set realistic goals and milestones for each student. Then, we motivate them to reach those goals.
For example, we may have a football fundraiser with the goal to buy new uniforms and make repairs to a stadium. But a softball fundraiser may have the goal of traveling to a national tournament. Each team’s goal is very achievable. Your Fundraising University Coach will help you set proper milestones to ensure you meet those goals.
Some products are handed to the supporter at the time of sale (like our Discount Cards or All-In-One Pass Discount Tickets.)
Consumable products like popcorn and cookie dough are scheduled to deliver 10-14 days after your fundraiser ends. That means, your supporters will wait no longer than 3 weeks to receive the products they purchase, and will generally receive them earlier.
Our Resume & Past Performance
Mountain Vista Football raised $43,043 in ONE WEEK!
We believe in the power of team sports, clubs, and organizations in high school and middle school. There’s value in having quality equipment, uniforms, and playing fields and courts in our community. There’s also value in being able to travel for tournaments and other experiences when you’re in high school and middle school. But that all takes money. When our students are able to raise funds and invest in their own schools, teams, and experiences, it sets a precedent for the students who will come after them and the whole community benefits.
We also give back to communities with our sister organization, the Coaching Matters Foundation and a portion of our proceeds go to benefit Braden’s Hope for Childhood Cancer.
Fundraising in COVID-19
Yes. All of our fundraisers offer text-to-pay options so that transactions can be done over the phone or text message. Products can easily be dropped off on front porches or in a socially distant manner.
We also run Hour-A-Thon fundraisers that consist of athletes contacting donors over text message and phone calls. This is a zero-contact fundraiser and can be completed in a single afternoon.
An Hour-A-Thon is a short and fast fundraiser that our Fundraising University Coaches lead in as little as one hour. We prepare your students to text and call their network of supporters and politely ask for donations. Then, all payments are made through a secure online payment portal.
Other donor campaigns require sending out emails that rarely get opened. Nearly 100% of people read a text message and the vast majority answer. These Hour-A-Thon’s are the perfect way to run a high school fundraiser fast and efficiently.
