Colin Shockey has been working with Fundraising University since it’s inception in 2009. The growth we’ve seen with our groups has been amazing. It’s exciting to see the teams raise on average $150 per athlete. It’s also exciting to see the growth within the company. Colin’s most proud moment came in 2014 when we raised over 1.75 million dollars for Nebraska area schools. Working with the student/athletes has coaches has always seemed to be a great fit for him.

His father, Curt Shockey, has been a baseball coach in Nebraska for 29 years and he was fortunate enough to play high school baseball for him at Ralston High. He also played a little basketball for the Rams. A couple of high school achievements were, Athlete of the Year, two-time First Team All-State selection and three-time All-Conference selection.

He then had the opportunity to play baseball in college. I attended Iowa Western CC, Nebraska (UNL) and Creighton, all on baseball scholarships. At Iowa Western he was an Academic All-American and in 2005 he helped the Jays win the Missouri Valley Regular Season Championship.

Colin is married to his best friend and wife Jessica since 2007. Colin and Jessica have three beautiful children, Easton, Kyler and Mya. There is no greater joy in his life than to be a husband and a father.
